Burger Avenue

After Shooting up our Blood Sugars to death on the Chocolate Buffet, we thought that we needed something else to eat. So, we decided to go to the newest hangout in Makati… Just Along Makati Avenue, The A-Venue Mall… Where we found the Newest and Hottest Burger Place in Town, Burger Avenue… :p

Burger Avenue is located on the A-Venue mall, Open 24/7, and they serve really good burgers. The Place is quite small but clean. They have a self service counter and the staff were very polite and friendly. The burgers are served grilled so less guilt there (maybe) :p

Now Open, Burger Avenue

 Ayos Dito! Sa Counter

The Rediculous Burger Challenge The Winners of the Challenge

Burger Avenue has a “Ridiculous Burger Challenge” where anyone who can finish their Ridiculous Burger, A Burger with 3 Burger Patties priced at P255 (See Photo below) in 5 minutes or Less, gets their burger FOR FREE!! (see Photo below for the mechanics). I did not take the challenge because I was still full that time. But I think I can do it, perhaps next time! when I am ready!! :p

Sa Burger Avenue...

I must say, their burgers were really good!! Although it came on a bit hefty price tag, but It was worth every penny! Personally, their burgers are better tasting than Burger King, or even McDonalds.

By the way, one unique thing about their burgers is the buns… The bun is very tasty and very firm. And Instead of having sesame seeds on top of it, theirs has oatmeal :p

Here’s the Menu of Burger Avenue. This Place is Really a Must Try!

I would love to Go back to this place! I hope they open a branch nearby…

Perhaps Las Pinas or Alabang Area… :p

Chocolate Buffet at the Manila Peninsula

Finally, after days of excitement, we were able to try the infamous Tsokolate-Ah! Chocolate Buffet at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati. The buffet was ok for Me, but nothing was spectacular.

Tsokolate-Ah! Brochure

The Buffet was set-up in the Hotel’s Lobby, which was very magnificent that evening especially with the Giant Christmas Tree, The Christmas Decorations, and the Live Quartet Serenading the crowd. We were seated right beside the buffet table since we made reservations ahead of time (reservation is recommended because there are limited seats).

For the Buffet, there were 2 small Tables set-up for the chocolates. On them were Different kinds of Chocolate Cakes (4-5 kinds), Ice Creams, White-Dark-Milk Chocolate Fondues, Marshmallows, Fruits, Chocolate Puddings, Chocolate Bars. Chocolates with Stuffed with Stuffs :p, Cookies, Brownies, Chocolate Chips, and some others chocolate stuff.

Since the Buffet table was small, they just replenish the items from time to time… During that time, they just served the same stuff over and over again… for the whole night. We were expecting something different but I guess, that was all that is on the menu…

The Taste was ok, I especially like the Dark Chocolate Fondue, Yum! Yum! However, the choices were limited, I was expecting More like cupcakes, More chocolate bars, and a chocolate fountain! The Fondue was just placed in a covered bowl which was not heated (I think) because the chocolate was hardening already.

I was not allowed to take pictures of the Buffet that’s why I was not able to catch the names of the stuff on the table. I asked for permission, but they said I should try on another day and I have to coordinate with the PR man… Hassle?!

Well anyway, other than the limited choices, everything was great that evening, the place was great, people were having fun, the food was delicious. You should try their cheesecake! It was amazing!

I had 4 whole slices of cake, 1 scoop of Ice Cream, and other chocolate stuff on the side… I could say that what I have paid for was worth it… I  Just thought of it this way, a bar of chocolate costs around 200 to 300 pesos… The buffet costs  Php676 net… Plus cakes, and Fondues, and the ambiance, and the free complimentary coffee… Worth It Right?! :p Just as I Thought! :p

Again, Personally, the buffet was OK… But not spectacular.

TIP: “Nakakaumay kumain ng chocolate products for 3 hours!” I suggest you eat other food on the side… Something salty to balance the sweetness of the chocolates. Doing this, you’ll probably be able to eat more from the buffet…

Here Are Some Photos…

Chi’s Brick Oven Kitchen… The Second Time Around!

Blue Lemonade... Last Month, I posted this Post about Chi’s Brick Oven Kitchen. A great restaurant in Aguirre St. In BF Homes Paranaque. The reader’s response was great! A lot of my friends wanted to try it out. Well, anyway, although we have tried several items in their menu the last time, We were not able to try all the best sellers of the place… So we decided to come back for More! And as expected… We were not disappointed! This place never fails to Impress!

So Again Let’s See what we got. We Ordered new stuff this time.

Wood-Fired Buffalo Wings

P175.00

Classic Buffalo Wings in Mild or Hot Sauce served with a blue cheese dip.

This Buffalo wings are good… Especially with the sauce… Although it would have been better if they chose bigger chicken wings… :p I like my Buffalo wings big :p Like the ones they serve in Don Henricos :p

Stuffed Potato Marbles

P110.00

 Favorite Appetizer :p

Puchon (Pugon-Lechon)

 P295.00

 Brick Oven Style Lechon

Another Best Seller of CBOK. This is the best lechon kawali I have had so far! It was very Tender, Juicy, and it was not fried! Less guilt there! The meat was very flavorful. It is served with rice and the serving is big enough for 2.

Pugon Adobo Flakes Rice Topping

P235.00

Adobo Flakes cooked over rice served with red egg and diced tomatoes...

 Yumm! Yumm!

This is very, very good… The meat (together with the pork fat) melts in your mouth.. very flavorful… Adobo at its best… Also, good enough to share! There’s about 2 cups of rice on each serving.

Spicy Sardinia Pizza

P250.00

Spicy Sardines, Olives, Onions, Tomato Sauce and Lots of Mozzarella!

If you love Sardines, you’ll love this Pizza! Although it is Sardines, it does not smell fishy :p

Stuffed All-Meat Pizza

P235.00

 All-Meat!!! All-Meat!!!

 Yummmm!!!!

This was supposed to be a calzone, but, the waiter suggested to make it like a pizza to make it bigger and easy to slice… But the stuffing was the same as the one used in the all-meat calzone.

Brick Oven Chocolate Cake Ala-Mode

  FREE!!! Yey!

After 3 Seconds...

We were surprised because they gave us a complementary dessert! We are not sure why but according to the waiter… it was for regular customers! Wow! :p Thanks!

Blueberry Cheesecake Delight

P125.00

Blue Berry and Cheesecakes!

Yum...!

Blueberry and Cream Cheese, what a perfect combination. This dessert pizza is not that sweet but very flavorful… you can really taste the cream cheese in every bite!

We were not able to order a lot of desserts this time around because we were so full after eating that heavy rice and stuffed pizza meal. Perhaps that was meant to be… another reason to come back! :p

Wooden Pizza Trays...

I would like to thank Chi and Apple for the Comment on my previous post and for the Free dessert... Next time ulit! :p Also, thank you for reading and following my blog. Until Next Time!

Here’s the Menu of Chi’s Brick Oven Kitchen.
