Redeem directly at any Starbucks branch from 01Apr-31Jul. T&C Apply. Visit www.hsbc.com.ph. DTI#1893 So12.

Here’s the Deal.

  1. Shop Anywhere using your HSBC Credit Card and charge a minimum P2,500 single transaction.
  2. Present the chargeslip plus your HSBC Card to any Starbucks Branch Near You
  3. Get a Tall beverage of your choice
  4. Valid Chargeslips are transactions Made between 22 March 2012 and 30 May 2012.
  5. Redemption starts 01 April 2012 until 31 July 2012.
  6. Chargeslips do not expire (unlike the 30-day expiry before) BUT they FADE! So Hurry! :)

The message from HSBC was a bit confusing for me since they mentioned something about the rewards points. So I called up their customer care to clarify.

  • They said that for every P10 you spend using your HSBC Card, you get 1 point. Hence, getting 250 points for a Single P2,500 transaction
  • The points will be credited to your account and will also be deducted once you avail of a beverage.
  • Basically it is just break-even. They just used the point system probably to monitor the availment of the promo and to verify if a purchase has really been made. Avoidance of Fraud.
  • Your existing HSBC points will not be affected
  • No extra effort on your part. Just follow the same easy steps as before.

Now, time to whip out those HSBC Credit Cards once More! :)

Now, the Food..

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks06

CBD Onion Rings (P80): Made with real onions! if like this stuff… You’ll love their onion rings. I personally prefer the Burger King Type onion rings, the semi-processed version. :)

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks07

CBD French Fries (P45): Plain and Simple

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks08

CBD Naked Chicken Strips (P150/6pcs): Why Naked? Skin is off the meat. The comfort starts here. Who does not love chicken strips with gravy?

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks14

CBD Cheese Burger (P160) and Spaghetti Combo (P145)

The comfort food continues… First of all I want to clarify that the spaghetti here is not a full order, the full order will be more than this. Anyway, the spaghetti is between the Pinoy spaghetti and the Traditional Spaghetti.. Not too sweet and not too sour either, perfect for everyone! The burger is good although it would be better if it was juicier.

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks13

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks10

CBD Grilled Chicken Steak (P195): For those who find comfort in Rice Meals.

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks15

CBD Bacon Cheesesteak Sandwich (P325): I know that most pinoys are not used to eating cheesesteak sandwich. But I urge you! Please Try! This one was really good! The beef was tender, the bacon was perfect and what I like about it the most… the bread! Most, if not all the time, you get this dry, tough, hard to bite and chew bread.. but this one is different. It was a bit softer than the usual. A must try!

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks11

Now the Drinks!!!

Above: CBD Chocolate Fudge Shake (P140) with a shot of Malt (P+20)

The Chocolate Milkshake was good on its own but the additional Malt Flavor really adds a distinct super yummy flavor to it. You have got to try this one! YUMMEEEEHHH!!! I never knew that the additional malt will make all the difference!

Below: CBD Vanilla Peanut Butter Toffee (P140)

Need I say more about this one? The Name is Yummy Enough don’t you think?

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks16

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks19

After eating all that Burgers and Cheesesteaks, you may want to relax your tummy by drinking their freshly brewed coffee (P40-70) Quality Coffee on the Cheap! It’s a steal! :)

CBD-Cheesesteaks, Burgers, and Drinks21

So next time you are on the in the Ayala Triangle Area, you should pay CBD a visit. Try their burgers but don’t forget their Milkshake with Malt!! It is a perfect place to Dine and grab some beer to cap the night.

Max’s Restaurant Lenten offerings this 2012

For most Pinoys, lent is the time of the year where they abstain from eating meat. But the problem is, there are not a lot of non-meat choices around – worst, not all of them taste good. Well, Max’s Restaurant has some good news! This Lenten season, aside from their regular Bangus and Shrimp Dishes, they will offer 3 new guilt-free dishes for your enjoyment this season of Lent!

Max's Cauliflower Puffs

First: Cauliflower Puffs! This is a great way to feed your kids with veggies without them knowing. It does not taste “gulay” at all. It’s really good and light. (P160.00)

Max's Sizzling Seafoods

Second: Sizzling Seafood (Cream Dory, Shrimp, and Squid) with Honey Bagoong Sauce! The honey and bagoong sauce has a good balance of saltiness and sweetness. It really complements the deep-fried seafood. (P265.00)

Max's Tofu Kangkong

Third: They named this “ Adobong Kangkong Stuffed Tofu” but actually, the adobong kangkong is sandwiched between slices of fried tofu. So technically it is not “stuffed”.. enough about the technicalities. :p This dish is straightforward. If you know adobong kangkong and fried tofu.. then you’ll have an idea on what this dish will taste like! Healthy Good! :) (P150.00)

That’s it! If you are looking for some Lenten dishes especially during Fridays, why not try these new dishes from Max’s! They will be available Starting 01 March 2012!
