Sofitel Manila may have the title for the most expensive room in the Philippines but I may have to hand the “Grandest” title to Manila Hotel. Their Presidential Suite is definitely made for a president – not a corporate president – but an actual President of a Country, and a Manny Pacquiao of course.

Marrying the old with the new, Manila Hotel’s Presidential Suite is a room fit for a Royalty. A Private indoor Swimming pool, a private elevator, access to the helipad, an amazing panoramic view of the City of Manila, Exquisite Furniture, Elegant fixtures and accessories, Spacious Living Areas,  Floor to Ceiling windows and drapes, Huge 3D Television, Bose Docking Stations, Extra Luxurious rooms for your friends, and a kitchen and quarters for your servants helps.

For the rest of it, I think I’ll just show you the pictures and you tell me what you think!

How much? …Later 😀

I must say that it is truly a different story once you are really inside this hotel room. For a few moments, you will definitely feel like a royalty. This suite, just like the Historical Mac Arthur Suite is full of history and character and if those walls could talk, I’m sure we will be here for a while to listen to all the stories.

Of course this room is not perfect. Amidst the grandeur of the living areas and the bedrooms, there are some shortcomings that I noticed. First, the pantry and the kitchen needs to be updated. See the picture above? Who would have thought that you were actually inside a presidential suite? It looks like a typical kitchen from a typical household. Second, just like the Mac Arthur Suite, the bathrooms are not updated. I am not sure if this is a lay-out and plumbing restriction but there is definitely nothing grand in the bathrooms, they were small, outdated and not well lit. Last but not the least, the smell, again this may be the effect of using old stuff inside a confined space but maybe a better ventilation would help?

But the bottomline, everything is still exquisite. if you are the lucky resident of this suite, you could care less if the pantry is small and outdated. You can always order room service.

How much would I need to save to book this room?

Not much… Just a mere $2,500++ (P103K++) for an overnight stay.

The Place was so Huge, no wonder Manny Pacquaio was able to party here.

Hanggang Sa Muli! Paalam!
